Who We Are

communion St Spiridon’s parish is a parish of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA). Our parish is descended from an 18th century Russian Orthodox mission to Alaska. Having been founded by immigrants from Russia, Greece, and Eastern Europe in 1895, through the year it has evolved into a truly American Orthodox church.

Many of our congregants journeyed to the Orthodox Church from other Christian faith traditions and denominations and some non-Christian religious and spiritual traditions.

Whether you are “on a journey” or just wanting to visit a local Orthodox parish you will be welcome at St. Spiridon. We are always honored to have visitors join us for prayer and worship.
