Notes:
The music of Eastern Orthodoxy finds its roots in the development and growth of worship in the first centuries of Christianity. During this time, Christian music was created to not only evoke a ceremonial, sacred context for worship, but to also provide theological education about the faith. Many of the greatest hymns of our faith were composed during this period, and are still sung today. This playlist of songs represents the wide diversity of Orthodox worship... including Russian, Greek, Antiochian, American, and Serbian traditions.
We'll be adding more music over time, so keep checking back!
